Rules For the Barkhunt (#barkhunt) - Twitter’s First Scavenger Hunt
For the initial Barkhunt (Twitter’s first scavenger hunt), @askspikeonline, @bestbullysticks, @FourLeggedMedia, and @PawLuxury will be providing the Barkunt’s item clues and prizes. At 9 PM Eastern on Thursday, February 19th, we will begin giving clues, every 5 minutes, rotating between partners until the conclusion at 10 PM Eastern.
Rules for Barkhunt:
- The partner responsible for giving the clue will also be responsible for providing the prize. Each partner will be giving three clues, thus there will be three prizes.
- All answers must come in the form of a Direct Message (DM) to the tweeting partner who has given the clue. The item winner will be the FIRST correct response.
- At this time, all “hunters” must have a U.S. mailing address to receive a won item.
- If technical issues interrupt, i.e. Twitter goes down, the sponsors are not responsible.
- All sponsors must be followed BEFORE the hunt begins, as there is no guarantee you will be followed back during the hunt.
For example, Ask Spike Online gives the first clue at 9 PM, asking what the name of the most recent dog added to Spike’s Shelter Dogs. The other partners will retweet the clue, and the hunters search for the answer at askspikeonline.com, leading them to find that “Scotty” was the most recent dog added. They will DM @askspikeonline, and Spike will tweet the winner prior to the next clue. The first correct DM will be the winner of that item. That winning hunter will be shipped a copy of “The Idiot’s Guide to Positive Dog Training” from Spike. Then at 9:05 PM, Best Bully Sticks tweets their clue, and this repeats through all of the partners three times.
All tweets promoting and announcing the hunts, as well as containing clues will include the #barkhunt hashtag, so keep an eye out for them.
